I'm an independent management consultant and project manager who also perform roles of Data Analyst, Business Analyst, and Process re-engineer with recent Agile knowledge obtained.

Synopsis: 

I have significant business consulting and large enterprise project implementation experience for large organisations and complex projects. I also have a background in technology, business operations, and process improvement. I have over twenty years experience in Programme and Project Management, worked in the Information Technology Area for more than twenty years, more than ten years experience in Shared Services, managed application Implementations and Support, operated in the Human Resources Development area for more than ten years, and had a strong focus on large scale Programmes and National Projects globally and within South Africa.


In addition I have extensively operated across multiple industries including Financial, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Public Sector, Transport, and Mining. Previous institutions that I worked with include Telkom SA, Dimension Data, Forte Advisory Services, Globaltrack and CapCircle. Key clients include Alexander Forbes, Vodacom, Telkom, MPSA, Xstrata, Debswana, as well as Department of Foreign Affairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Segmentation of all new enterprise accounts that are created within Vodacom by investigating the company’s ownership, turnover, size, business type, location, etc.
  • Base management of the On Time earnings database to ensure accurate information for commission purposes of the sales teams.
  • Address ADHOC queries regarding the segmentation of companies from business (Sales, Finance, Commissions, etc.)
  • Analysed existing manual processes, identifyed pain points, and developed efficient digital workflows for a Vodacom to improve operational efficiency and customer experience for the segmentation process.
  • Mapped and modeled business processes to translate user requirements into functional system specifications, and led cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of end-to-end solutions within budget and timeline constraints.

  • Created reports to be able to do an analysis of the number of coolers allocated per Ops Manager and Technical Manager.

  • Optimisation of the Geo Allocation function and implementation of the Cooler allocation country wide.

  • Automated the Dealer Base for the client in MS Access to be able to pay the Dealers their commissions and incentives.

  • Rollout of a layer 3 network and IPT solution for the Department of Foreign Affairs.
  • Multi-million Rand (±R200m) project incorporating an upgrade of the network in the Department of Foreign Affairs to a layer 3 environment with Cisco equipment that will be capable of carrying the IPT solution at the 130 embassies across the world.
  • Rollout of the IPT solution at 130 embassies (± 3500 IP telephones, 7 call managers and 6 Unity servers (Voicemail)).
  • Manage a team of 10 consisting of 3 network engineers, 3 IPT specialists, 2 security specialists, 1 Unity specialist and 1 Logistics manager.

Results:

  • Layer 3 network and IPT solution rolled out for the Department of Foreign Affairs.
